Biografia e vokalistit të grupit ‘Queen’, Freddie Mercury, mori në shtëpi trofeun për ‘Filmi më i mirë dramë’ dhe ‘Aktori më i mirë dramë’ për Rami Malek, që shkëlqeu në rolin e këngëtarit.

Pavarësisht se u nominua për pesë çmime, ‘A Star Is Born’ i Bradley Cooper dhe Lady Gagës, mori në shtëpi vetëm një çmim, atë të ‘Këngës më të mirë origjinale’ për Shallow.

‘Green Book’, ishte një tjetër fitues i madh i mbrëmjes, duke siguruar tri çmime.

Ai mori çmimin ‘Komedia muzikore ose filmi komedi më i mirë’, ‘Skenari më i mirë’ dhe ‘Aktori më i mirë mbështetës’ për Mahershala Ali.

Fitoret në Golden Globes e bëjnë Green Book si një nga favoritët për Oscarët e muajit të ardhshëm.

Një nga surprizat e tjera të natës në kategoritë e filmave ishte Glenn Close që mori çmimin ‘Aktorja më të mirë dramë’ për rolin e saj në ‘The Wife’.

Ajo mundi konkurrenten Lady Gaga, e cila pritej të fitonte për A Star Is Born.
